Kahrs Solid Oak T moulding floor trims are 2400mm long to cover the expansion gap when both floors are at the same height. They are 17 mm x 58 mm x 2400 mm long. It is recommended that the trim be glued with a suitable adhesive or that the aluminium U channel track supplied be used. Choose from over 130 colours and finishes to match your chosen floor. Choose natural oak in the finish required or any of the stained-coloured finishes to match your floor. OK, so you have found the floor you want. So how much do you need to order, and how much will it cost?
How To Calculate Your Floor Area
It is best to get hold of a tape measure, paper and pen, and also maybe a calculator. Draw the shape of the room/s.
Pink Room (Rectangular Room)
If you have a rectangular or square room, measure length x width and multiply the two as shown here:
5m x 4m = 20m2
Green Room (L Shaped Room)
If you have an L-shaped room, divide it into two areas, then add the two together:
4 x 3 = 12m2
2 x 2 = 4m2
12 + 4 = 16m2
Blue Room (Irregular Shaped Room)
If you have an irregularly shaped room, divide it into multiple areas. Then add the areas together:
5 x 2.2 = 11m2
3 x 1.5 = 4.5m2
2 x 1 = 2m2
11 + 4.5 + 2 = 17.5m2
Bay Window
If you have a small angled area, such as a Bay window, multiply the maximum width by the depth:
5m x 1m = 5m2
